How do I get Nightly App?

Nightly App is available as ‘Nightly What’s Up’ application in the Apple Store (Apple) and Google Play Store (Android).

What is Nightly App?

Nightly App is an announcement messaging platform on which restaurants, bars, clubs and venues post news and offers. The format is similar to other messaging platforms like twitter X, Threads and WhatsApp.

Who can post on Nightly?

Only establishments can post. As per our name ‘Nightly’ is focused on nighttime entertainment for adults over 18 years old. Our primary target is restaurants, bars, clubs and venues- for the purpose of eating, drinking, and dancing. We allow postings from theatres, but not adult strip clubs.

Who are Nightly App users?

People everywhere who want to go out- eat, drink, dance and be entertained. Must be 18 years old to join.

Why is posting restricted to establishments?

We want to preserve the integrity of the ‘entertainment news’ feed and avoid social media clutter. Hence no posts on what Joe had for dinner.

Can users comment on posts?

Yes! Users can comment on posts. We encourage respectful behavior. Users can also Like, Favorite and Share posts to social media platforms.

Can users book on Nightly App?

Nightly App is not a booking service and does not charge commission fees. However users can phone and private message establishments to place bookings. Some establishments may provide clickable booking service links in the post.

How do I set my feed location? 

Go to Settings. Choose to use your smartphone GPS location or set a manual location address. Manual location setting is handy when you are planning nights outside your phone location, like for vacations. Without a location setting you will see posts from everywhere! Not useful.

On the same page you can set the location range from 5-100 miles. For cities a lower range may be suitable. For the countryside a wider range is likely better.

What notifications does Nightly send to my device?

You may choose your notification settings on the Settings page. There are 4 selections: Establishments you follow; This Week (Tuesday); This Weekend (Friday); and Company Messages. Nightly works best with notifications.

How do I filter my post feed?

Top right on the Feeds page is the filter icon. Click to open and you will find choices under Region, Food Type and Establishment Type. Use this tool to narrow down your choices. This way you could, for example, select Vietnamese, Vegetarian and Clubs, and see only posts from establishments that cover those choices.

How do I use the Profile tab?

Click the Profile tab and you will see short profiles of all establishments in the order of joining. Click ‘More’ at the end of each short profile to get a large profile featuring descriptions, details, opening hours, closed days, and photos. Profiles can also be accessed from post headings. Profiles can also be filtered. For example, choose Italian restaurants and those are what you will see.

What is the Jobs tab about?

Nightly is aware of the struggles restaurants, bars, clubs and venues have in getting staff, both full time and part time. We encourage establishments to post job vacancies. We will market the Jobs section actively in your city.

What does Nightly cost?

Nightly is a free service for Users. For Establishments there is a Free Plan and a V.I.P. Plan. The Free Plan limits posting privileges. The V.I.P. Plan has unlimited postings and is very reasonably priced monthly subscription fee. Ads are limited.

Where is Nightly App supported?

Nightly App is being launched in Miami and South Florida in January, 2024. Our mission is to market Nightly App to establishments and users in South Florida in order to get a concentrated marketplace.

After a short period Nightly will be marketed to other cities. We do not expressly forbid downloads from anywhere. It’s just a question of marketing support. There is an advantage to being the first establishment in your city to join anyway.
